Now marketing can tell how much dollar growth is attributed to unit growth as well as price growth. AHS has always provided extended units (doses purchased) in Biologicals but this has been "extended" to all product lines. The common unit of measure in all other cases is Daily Doses Per Pound of pet or livestock animal. Obviously this measure requires many assumptions, but MDI felt that even if it is an approximation it is still worth having.
