Bill Young,
General Manager

Bill Young earned his undergraduate degree with a dual major in operations and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus in 1978. Bill started his career with H.J.Heinz in the sales and sale management areas. During this period Bill also earned his MBA from the same school with a focus in Strategic Planning. He graduated with honors and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma organization. After a successful 6 years in the sales management area, Bill moved to the marketing arena with several food companies and gained a wide variety of marketing experience as he held various positions starting as marketing associate and ending as a director of marketing. In 1998 Bill started his own systems consulting company which provided IT services to the small business market. After 10 years of profitable growth he sold this business in 2008. Bill has been very happily married to Jeanne since 1980 and they have 2 grown children, Steven and Sarah. Bill enjoys coaching youth travel soccer with the Arlington Aces and reading.
 
 
Igor Beliaev,
Data Mining Consultant


Igor Beliaev studied Applied Mathematics at the Moscow State Aviation Institute in Russia and in year 1999 continued to the graduate program at the University of Memphis, USA. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate pursuing a degree in Computer Science and working in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Soft-Computing methods including Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic and some data mining techniques. Prior to graduate school he worked at the Iridium Satellite Telecommunication Company as a market data analyst and rating manager. His knowledge and skills are applied at MDI for data analysis, data mining, and research.
 
Elena Dimova,
Market Research Analyst


Elena was born in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria and moved to the United States when she was 11 years old. Elena graduated from DePaul University College of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree in June 2008 and soon joined MDI as a market research analyst. She was invited to become a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society in 2005. Her hobbies include traveling, working out, watching soccer, and playing the piano. Elena plans on returning to DePaul to obtain her MBA in the near future.
 
Kestutis Gasiunas,
Market Research Analyst


Kestutis Gasiunas was born and raised in Lithuania . He came to the United States in the year 2000 to pursue his BS degree in Marketing, International Business, and Economics at Dominican University , IL . Kestutis received The Most Outstanding Senior of the Year Award in the Department of International Business. At Dominican he received Who is Who in American Colleges and Universities Award, and was invited to join Sigma Iota Epsilon, National Honorary and Professional Management Fraternity. During his years at the university he was the captain of Dominican University Tennis Team, 2001, 2002, 2004 NIIC Conference champion, and was a member of a number of university affiliated organizations and clubs. Kestutis shows a strong interest in international community. He can speak Lithuanian, Russian, Japanese and Spanish languages, and is a member of International Trade Club of Chicago. Kestutis Gasiunas joined Market Dynamics, Inc. in the beginning of 2005. He is currently working in marketing and new business development areas. Kestutis Gasiunas finished his MBA in Marketing Management at DePaul University , IL in 2007.
 
Dorothy Gunia,
Customer Support/Market Analyst

Dorothy graduated from Dominican University in 1999 with a BA in Environmental Management. In 2000, she received an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. While pursuing her MBA, she opened her own business, The Princess Jewelry Box LLC, importing and selling European silver jewelry. In addition to working at MDI, Dorothy is a fiction writer.

Lisa Hunt,
Veterinary Market Researcher


Lisa Hunt graduated from JB Conant High School and went on to attend Harper College, where she studied Culinary Arts and Criminal Justice. Since high school, Lisa has held a variety of positions, including construction assistant, lifeguard, fitness center sales associate, loan officer, GNC store manager, Jenny Craig consultant, copier sales consultant, and Kinko's assistant manager. She has learned a great deal from all her jobs and clients. Lisa is passionate about physical fitness and holds a black belt in American Karate. She also loves outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, snow boarding, sledding, knee boarding, camping, kayaking, and swimming. Lisa joined MDI in October of 2008.
 
Anna Itkin,
Veterinary Market Researcher


Anna graduated from the Music Academy in Russia with an MA in Music Education and piano performance. She immigrated to the United States in 1989. Anna began working at MDI in 1999, as a Veterinary Market Research Associate. She sees her role at MDI as obtaining the most accurate data possible for our clients from the most reliable reporter clinics.
 
Margaret Kaner,
Practice Management Consultant


Margaret Kaner graduated summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a BA in English Literature and Economics. She went on to earn an MA in English Literature from Cornell University, and is currently a PhD candidate at Cornell in the field of English Literature and Cultural Studies. Margaret has taught Writing, English Literature, and English as a Second Language courses, and has also worked in market research as well as sales and marketing in the financial industry. She joined MDI in April of 2008 as a Practice Management Consultant and currently manages copywriting, marketing, and public relations.

Julia graduated from the Moscow University of Civil Engineering in 1978. From 1978 until 1999, she worked for the Moscow Design Company as a Civil Engineer. In 1999, Julia immigrated to the USA. She started at MDI in 2001 as a Market Research Associate. She also works on study data accuracy verification.
 
Sonia McClain,
Office Manager/HR Support


Sonia graduated from York University in Canada with a B.A. of Honors in Mass Communications & Sociology in 2002. She also obtained a Diploma with High Honors in Education and is a certified TESL Teacher. She has been on the honor roll, received awards for public speaking and specialized training. She was employed at Bell Express Vu, one of Canada's largest satellite providers for 5 years. She also worked at the Brampton Board of Trade in Canada as a Coordinator. Sonia is now a member of the MDI team and fills the roll as the Office Manager and HR Support.
 
Susan Meyers,
Veterinary Market Researcher


Sue is an animal lover and she enjoys the knowledge that her job contributes to improving health care for animals. She also enjoys her personal relationships with each participating study clinic. Sue ran a day-care business and pet-sitting service in her home for 10 years, before joining MDI in January 2001.
 
 
Dasha Murzakova,
Veterinary Market Researcher


Dasha was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and moved to Chicago when she was seven years old. Dasha graduated from Stevenson High School in 2003 and from DePaul University in 2008 with a degree in Psychology. She spent her junior year at DePaul studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Prior to joining MDI, she worked as a business developer for GraphTech Systems in Deerfield, Illinois. Dasha loves animals, spending time with her friends and family, reading, watching movies, and playing with her cat Ksusha.
 
 
Stella Nisenbaum
Veterinary Market Researcher


Stella Nisenbaum graduated from Lake Forest College in 2007 with a BA degree in Biology and Psychology. As an undergraduate she worked as a front desk manager at a local spa and as a peer teacher for several biology courses. She joined MDI in May of 2007 as a Veterinary Market Researcher.
 
Janice Novak,
RN, Research Supervisor


Janice graduated from Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center in 1967 with expertise in all areas of nursing care. She then passed the nursing licensing exam and became a registered nurse. Janice joined the operating room staff of Little Company of Mary Hospital with a focus on Orthopedic ENT and the clinical teaching of OR technicians. At Lutheran General, she worked in the main OR, specializing in open-heart procedures. Later she moved to the Ambulatory Surgery center and worked in outpatient surgery. Janice joined MPMS in 1989 and supervises the interviewing function.
 
Svetlana Panich,
Data Entry



Svetlana graduated from Kiev National University in 1970. In 1991, she completed courses in Accounting and Bookkeeping. She moved to Chicago in 1994. For the next 5 years, she was employed at Lodan Electronics Co. as an assembler. Svetlana began working for MDI in June 1999.
 
Don Peterson,
Computer Consultant


Don graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1976 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, Don worked with the Zenith Corporation in the quality assurance department until 1978. From 1978-86, Don worked in support services for Information Systems Inc. Don's roles at ISI included UNIX operation support and development as well as computer and peripheral customization. Don also spent time working for Neil Nelson and Associates between 1988 and 1990. Don started consulting for MDI in 1986. Don plays a critical role in the development of databases for MDI and helps with hardware configuration and support.
 
Liudmila Prokharava,
Graphic and Media Designer

Liudmila was born in Mogilev, Belarus and moved to the United States in 2009. Liudmila graduated from European Humanities University with a Bachelor of Audiovisual Art majoring in Media and Visual Design in August 2009 and soon joined MDI as a graphic designer. Prior to joining MDI, she attended training courses and seminars in Sweden, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, Georgia and Estonia. Her hobbies include photography, salsa dancing, argentine tango, traveling, languages, and cooking.
 
 
Yelena Romanenko,
Accounting Clerk


Yelena graduated from Yaroslawl Teaching University in Russia in 1971 with an MA and taught High School Physics. After that she attended the Kiev Division of the Moscow Information Technology Institute. She then worked as a researcher at the Institute of Low Temperature Physics and Engineering Academy of Science of the Ukraine. At the Institute, she maintained, developed and updated the low temperature physics and engineering research database.
 
 
Julianne Sblendorio,
PA, Medical Marketing Researcher



Julie received her Physician Assistant degree, Cum Laude, from St. Francis College in 1986. While in school, she worked in telemarketing. She was employed as a physician's assistant from 1987 until 1994 at Cermak Health Services, Great Lakes Naval Base Hospital and at the North Chicago Veterans Administration clinic. From 1994 until she joined MDI in 1997, Julie was employed in marketing research with C/J Research Inc.
 
 
Megan Sprangers ,
Data Analyst


Megan graduated from Northern Illinois University, cum laude, in 2006 with a B.A. in Sociology. As an undergrad she played division-I volleyball for NIU where she was co-captain of the team in 2005. As a senior she was also honored with a "Woman of the Year Award" presented by the university's Women's Resource Center and other student-athlete academic achievement awards. She continued schooling at NIU as she pursued a Masters in Sociology with an emphasis in methodology and a Geographic Information Systems certification. Megan was a research/teaching assistant for a quantitative sociological research class, where she supported sociology and political sciences students in the sociology quantitative research lab. She later utilized these quantitative skills and her GIS certification at her internship with Kane County Government – GIS Technologies just before joining MDI.
 
 
Galina Vinokurov,
Data Processing and Editing Manager



Galina graduated from Kiev University in the Ukraine in 1985 with an BA in Library Science. From 1985 to 1987, she worked as a ibrarian at the Scientific Library at the Department of Patent Information. In 1998, she trained to be a Client/Server Application Developer at Goal Training Inc. in Chicago. Galina joined MDI in May 1999. She coordinates and manages the data processing and editing functions.
 
Natasha Zhivotovsky,
Veterinary Market Researcher



Natasha was born in Kiev , Ukraine and moved to the United States when she was 8 years old. She recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with bachelors in Communication.. Before joining MDI, Natasha worked as a client representative at Global Marketing Ventures, a sports and entertainment company. In her spare time Natasha loves to travel, read, and dance.
